ACE 2011 Conference

 

The conference schedule includes several amusing excursions around  town. View the basic schedule below and download the Social Schedule (PDF) for details. You must register for most optional activities by May 4 (see PDF for details).

Wednesday, May 18

  • 5:30 - 7:30 p.m.: Pre-Conference Dinner at The Superior or The Blue Crab (signup sheets available at conference sign-in station)
  • 7:30 - 10:00 p.m.: Welcome Reception in the Laurel Point Terrace Ballroom (included in registration fee)
  • 9:00 - 10:15 p.m.: Optional Walking Tour ($10; register by May 4)
  • 9:00 - 9:30 p.m. (approx.): Horse-drawn carriage Tour ($22.50 + HST; minimum of four required; register by May 4)

Thursday, May 19

  • 6:30 - 9:00 p.m.: Gala Dinner in the Laurel Point Terrace Ballroom 
  • 9:00 - 11:30 p.m.: After-dinner soiree with music by the Vic High R&B Band

Friday, May 20

  • 1:30 - 3:45 p.m.: Harbour Ferry to Brewpub Tour at Spinnaker's Gastro Brewpub (register by May 4; leave Coast Harbourside Hotel dock at 1:30 and return at 3:30).
    • $17 + HST includes a round-trip ferry ride and five 4 oz. tasters of Spinnaker's handcrafted ales on tap
    • $25 + HST includes a round-trip ferryride, five 4 oz. tasters of Spinnaker's handcrafted ales on tap and delicious, bite-size food pairings
    • You can also opt to stay at Spinnaker's for a late lunch (there is regular harbour ferry service from Spinnaker's dock to the Coast Harbourside Hotel dock every 10 minutes)
  • 3:30 - 6:30 p.m.: Whale Watching Tour (register by May 4; start with lunch at Milestones with a 10% discount, then check in to the Prince of Whales dock at 3:00 (just below Milestones)
    • $75 + HST
  • Butchart Gardens visit: No registration required; sign up at the conference.
